Pictured above is a fishing village in Cuba. As is the case with most communities in Cuba, it’s inhabitants are quite poor, and depend upon the fishing and agricultural seasons to get by. Of course, there is tourism which makes up a considerable amount of the average Cuban resident’s income, but for the most part, the majority of Cuban families subsist on a few dollars a day. Still, it’s a tiny island nation with a lot of history and culture, and despite a certain, inconvenient trade embargo levied against it by a certain superpower, thousands of Americans visit every year.
