Dusseldorf, Germany is known for its clean water, excellent public transit system,   and for being one of the most livable cities on the planet. In 2006, Business Week Magazine named it the sixth most livable city in the world in 2006, and tied it with Auckland, New Zealand at number 5 the following year. It has a moderate to low cost of living when compared to other German cities such as Wuppertal and Munich, and its proximity to  Paris is a major draw for many global fashion houses.
